LivePair AI — setupPick a microphone and an input source, then press START. The agent does the rest.
What this is LivePair AI is an ambient companion: it watches your shared screen (or camera) and listens to the room continuously, then offers the next useful thing — a suggestion, the right place in your code, the next step in a diagram — on this page and out loud. You never prompt it. How to run it — 4 steps below, then START
  1. Grant permissions & pick your mic. The agent hears the room through it. Camera is only needed if you choose Camera as the input — screen share needs none.
  2. Plug in earphones — strongly recommended. The agent speaks short lines out loud (GPT-Live). With speakers, anyone in the room can hear it and your mic mutes while it talks. Earphones keep the copilot private and your mic always open.
  3. Choose what it watches. Screen share: share the window with your coding problem, design doc, or whiteboard — not this page, or it watches its own Pad.
  4. Press START and just… talk. Work naturally — ask it things, think out loud, disagree with it. Say stop to pause its voice (it keeps watching), continue to resume. HOLD does the same by hand.
Sessions auto-stop after 45 minutes. Media is processed in memory for inference only — not recorded. Requires Chrome or Edge.

Any camera works here — a webcam, phone-as-webcam, or a virtual camera. Only needed if you pick Camera as the input source.

Output check

The agent can speak short first-person lines out loud (GPT-Live). Use an earphone if you have one — with speakers, the mic is muted while the agent talks so it doesn't hear itself.

GPT-Live voice plays through the selected output. No selection means the system default device.

Session preferences

Auto first

Screen share: share the window with your coding problem or design doc — not this page, or the agent will watch its own Pad. Camera: point it at yourself or a whiteboard and just talk through what you're working on.

Auto detect is the default. A manual pick only hints new code generation — clear on-screen evidence always wins.
